Job summary

La Joya Independent School District is seeking a Pre-K Instructional Assistant to support PK EL students under the supervision of the campus principal. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 48 college hours or 2 years postsecondary education.
• Educational aides should be certified per SBEC standards or able to obtain certification.
• Proficient in English and Spanish – bilingual.

Responsibilities

• Administers, scores and records tests for PK EL students as recommended by the teacher.
• Works with PK EL students or small groups to reinforce learning.
• Assist PK Bilingual teacher in devising strategies for reinforcing material.
• Operates and cares for equipment used in PK Bilingual classroom.
• Guides independent study, enrichment and remedial work as assigned.
