Job summary

Garces, Grabler & Lebrocq is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal to join our New Brunswick, NJ team. You will handle prelitigation and litigation matters, supporting one attorney and another paralegal, while independently managing your caseload with client-focused service.

Responsibilities include drafting pleadings, coordinating depositions, and managing discovery, deadlines, and case notes in our CMS. Fluency in English/Spanish is preferred to assist a diverse client base.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in Personal Injury, Premises, First Party, Medical Malpractice or other injury related practice areas
• Experience using a Case Management System (Litify, Needles, Smart Advocate, Filevine, etc.)
• Ability to multitask, organize, prioritize, handle a fast-paced environment, and manage workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervision
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as attention to detail
• Fluency in English and Spanish, verbally and in writing (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Manage cases from prelitigation through litigation.
• Open and close case files including medical records, police reports, and insurance verifications
• Prepare for depositions, mediations, and trial; draft pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, etc.
• Coordinate and summarize depositions
• Communicate with clients, other law offices, insurance adjusters, and medical offices
• Prepare discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses
