Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Bilingual Phlebotomist for an onsite role in Bronx, NY. The candidate must have a minimum of two years of venipuncture experience, be proficient with straight needles, and work independently from day one. Bilingual Spanish/English communication is essential.

Schedule runs Monday to Friday 8am–3pm, with every other Saturday 8am–3pm. This permanent position offers comprehensive benefits and onsite work.

Qualifications

Minimum of two years of venipuncture experience.
Bilingual Spanish-English required.
Proficient with venipuncture techniques.

Responsibilities

Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge specimens, record maintenance data, and decontaminate work area.
Collect and store specimens according to established procedures.
Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously for specimens.
Demonstrate venipuncture techniques with straight or butterfly needles.
Match requisition forms to specimen tubes.
Label, centrifuge, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
Package specimens for transport and ensure correct temperature and containers.
Maintain specimen integrity during transport and labeling.
