Job summary

Hennepin County Medical Center seeks a Pharmacy Technician for the Richfield Clinic Community Pharmacy. You will support the pharmacist, handle prescriptions, manage billing and insurance tasks, and ensure accurate medication preparation and delivery in a hospital setting.

The role requires bilingual fluency, strong customer service, and ability to work in a fast-paced team. In-person duties and day shifts with every 4th weekend are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include bilingual English/Spanish, high school diploma or GED, and active MN pharmacy technician registration.
• PTCB or ExCPT certification within 1 year of hire; internship license acceptable depending on status.
• Strong communication, customer service, and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and route calls to appropriate personnel.
• Prepackage, prepare, label, and dispense prescriptions after pharmacist review.
• Maintain cash registers, process deposits, and handle billing and insurance tasks.
• Stock inventory and remove expired medications; deliver meds to care areas.
• Enter outpatient prescriptions and document patient interactions in EMR.
• Triages orders, prioritizes tasks, and coordinates ordering and delivery of meds.
