Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and visitors in person or by phone.
• Schedules appointments to optimize provider time and room utilization.
• Notifies providers of patient arrivals and maintains scheduling accuracy.
• Answers patient questions and maintains the reception area.
• Verifies insurance eligibility before patient arrival.
• Maintains patient records and updates personal/financial information.
• Records and collects patient charges; manages accounts and credits with provider approval.
• Keeps office inventory and equipment; ensures supplies are available.
• Responds to emergencies and protects patient confidentiality.
• Follows policies and procedures; supports team and execution of related tasks.
• Maintains home health orders for the Chief Medical Officer to sign when in the office.
