Kern Medical Surgery Center in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a Patient Access Services Representative I/II to join our team. This full-time role handles patient access, registration and financial counseling, and requires attention to accuracy, empathy, and teamwork in a busy specialty clinic environment.

The position offers growth within the Patient Access team, with bilingual preferred and opportunities for involvement with Medi-Cal, CCS and other funding programs.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED and six (6) months of patient access experience.
• High School diploma or GED and one (1) year of patient access experience.

Responsabilidades

• Greets patients, reviews process, and schedules appointments for exam or follow-up.
• Assembles data for complete patient registration and handles insurance verifications.
• Enters patient demographics into the EHR system and handles eligibility checks.
• Assesses financial responsibility and collects co-pays and deductibles at admission.
• Informs patients about payment options and assists with funding resources.
• Reviews payer resources to determine eligibility for government programs.
