Job summary

El Rancho Supermercado is seeking a Pastry Clerk to deliver excellent customer service in a retail environment. You will model company values while helping customers and maintaining bakery standards.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, stocking pastry displays, assisting with baking, and ensuring product quality and safety. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred; a Food Handlers Card is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Food Handlers Card;
• Customer Service and retail experience desirable.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with customers in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Organize products in display cases and tables, ensuring fully stocked cases.
• Assist with baking breads, cookies, and desserts, including pan dulce.
• Maintain standards for quality, cleanliness, organization, customer service, safety, sanitation and food safety.
• Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy; monitor rotation and discard outdated items.
• Operate Pastry equipment (heat sources, mixers, blenders).
• Take food orders in person and by telephone.
• All other duties as assigned.
