Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Delivery Specialist to operate store vehicles for safe and efficient delivery of parts to professional customers. The role includes handling COD payments, collecting money, and picking up customer returns. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsible for vehicle inspections, secure handling of assets, and communicating customer needs to store management. May assist with cashier duties and merchandising as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record must meet the standard set in the company's 14/18-point record system.
• Must possess a legally required state driver's license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use delivery fleet management devices to process deliveries, obtain customer signatures, and update vehicle mileage.
• Maintain cleanliness and daily inspections of delivery vehicles.
• Secure vehicles, keys, fuel cards, devices, and monies collected at all times.
• Pick up customer returns and complete driver return slips.
• Communicate issues or special needs from customers to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs or accidents to the store manager.
• Fuel the vehicle and secure it at end of day.
• Clock in/out as per policy.
• Assist customers or act as cashier when needed and help with merchandising tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
