Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is hiring a Delivery Specialist in Durham, NC. You will operate company vehicles to deliver parts, process deliveries with handheld devices, collect money for COD deliveries, and handle returns.

You will also assist with cashier duties and merchandising as needed, while ensuring vehicle safety and daily inspections. Ideal candidates are bilingual and possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record must meet the standard set in the company's 14/18-point record system.
• Must possess a legally required state driver's license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Process deliveries with hand-held devices, capture signatures, update mileage, and complete vehicle inspections.
• Keep vehicles clean and perform daily inspections prior to operation.
• Secure vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet cards, devices and monies collected at all times.
• Handle customer returns and fill out driver return slips.
• Communicate problems or special needs to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs or accidents to store management.
• Ensure fuel tank is filled and vehicle secured at end of day.
• Clock in/out according to policy.
• Assist customers, serve as cashier, and help with merchandising when needed.
