Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Delivery Specialist to operate company vehicles delivering parts to professional customers in a safe, efficient manner. The role includes collecting COD payments, handling returns, and supporting store operations with customer service and merchandising tasks.

Qualifying candidates should have a clean driving record, an active state driver’s license, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record must meet the standard set in the company's 14/18-point record system.
• Must possess a legally required state driver's license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use delivery fleet management hand-held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, and update vehicle mileage.
• Keep delivery vehicles clean and maintained, and complete daily vehicle inspections.
• Secure monies collected and keys, fuel cards, and devices at all times.
• Pickup and process customer returns and driver return slips.
• Escalate problems or special customer needs to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs or incidents to the store manager immediately.
• Ensure fuel tank is full and vehicles are locked at end of day.
• Clock in/out per company policy and perform other duties as assigned.
• Assist customers and perform merchandising tasks as needed.
