Job summary

MOESC at FRHSD / Colts Neck High School is seeking a full-time Paraprofessional who is bilingual in Spanish and English to support students in a middle/high school setting. The role requires a high school diploma and may consider 60+ college credits or Praxis Parapro for preferred status.

Responsibilities include assisting students with daily activities, collaborating with teachers to reach instructional goals, and ensuring a safe, supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (required).
• 60+ college credits and/or Praxis Parapro Assessment (preferred).
• Experience with children in a school setting preferred.
• Strong organizational skills are needed.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and email.
• Good interpersonal skills with children and adults.
• Ability to pass a criminal history check and show proof of US Citizenship or legal resident status.
• Ability to communicate and have command of the English language.

Responsibilities

• Assist assigned students with daily activities and routines.
• Perform errands and simple tasks to support students (e.g., sharpening pencils, carrying items).
• Collaborate with teachers to help students reach instructional goals.
• Support students under supervision to reinforce material.
• Escort students between classrooms and manage transitions.
• Foster appropriate and professional relationships with students.
