SCAN, Inc seeks a qualified Counselor to provide outpatient mental health and substance use disorder treatment to adolescents and young adults ages 13-25 in Texas.

The role includes assessments, treatment planning, individual/family/group counseling, crisis intervention, care coordination with schools and community partners, thorough documentation, and adherence to ethical and licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling or a closely related behavioral health field is required.
• Current Texas behavioral health professional license (LPC, LPC Associate, LCSW, or LMSW) is required.
• Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Ability to work effectively with youth, families, schools, and community partners.
• Strong clinical, organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities.

Responsabilités

• Assess and conduct comprehensive behavioral health, substance use, and co-occurring disorder assessments.
• Develop individualized treatment plans reflecting client goals and recovery needs.
• Provide evidence-based individual, family, and group counseling.
• Deliver trauma-informed services to foster recovery and resilience.
• Provide crisis intervention, risk assessment, and safety planning.
• Engage families to strengthen functioning and outcomes.
• Coordinate care with primary care, schools, and community partners.
• Maintain timely and complete clinical documentation.
• Comply with ethics, confidentiality, and licensing requirements.
