Job summary

ContactLink Solutions (CLS) is seeking experienced on-site interpreters across the United States to support in-person assignments in various locations. Candidates fluent in English and at least one additional language are encouraged to apply.

This is an independent contractor opportunity offering flexible assignments, reliable transportation, and a pathway to work with diverse professional environments. Travel to assigned sites within your area and strict confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English and at least one additional language.
• Based in the United States.
• Minimum 1 year of professional interpretation experience.
• Excellent listening and note-taking skills.
• Strong interpersonal communication and cultural awareness.
• Able to convey messages accurately with no omissions.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
• Able to travel to on-site locations within the area.
• Experience in medical, healthcare, legal, or community interpretation valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate face-to-face interpretation between English and the working language(s).
• Facilitate effective communication between clients and individuals with limited English proficiency.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow interpreter ethics.
• Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and professionalism during assignments.
• Be familiar with healthcare terminology relevant to assignments.
• Coordinate with the team regarding assignment availability.
