Job summary

Urban Health Plan in Corona, Queens, is seeking a Medical Assistant-Tracker to support OB/GYN and Family Medicine teams. The role emphasizes administrative duties around patient records and outreach for OB/GYN services, with front-line clinical tasks as needed.

The position requires a High School Diploma, a Medical Assistant Certificate, and 1 year of MA experience in OB/GYN/family care. Fluency in English and Spanish, strong communication, and patient-centered care are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Medical Assistant Certificate from accredited program required.
• 1 year of experience as Medical Assistant in family and OB/GYN settings.
• Bilingual English and Spanish required.
• Strong communication skills and patient-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Meet OB patients for intake assessments and document chief concerns.
• Track PAP results, IUD lot numbers, and related OB/GYN needs.
• Coordinate free pregnancy testing and recalls for services.
• Perform CLIA-waived testing and EKGs as ordered.
• Schedule OB/GYN sonograms and other appointments.
• Prepare patients for visits and document vitals and chief complaints in EMR.
• Review immunizations, problem lists, and referrals in coordination with others.
• Assist providers during visits and hand off to appropriate services.
• Process diagnostic orders and follow up on results.
