Urban Health Plan seeks a Medical Assistant- Tracker (OB/GYN) for Plaza del Sol Family Health Center in Corona, NY. This role supports OB/GYN services with MA duties plus administrative duties related to patient records and outreach for OB/GYN services.

The position requires a High School Diploma and Medical Assistant Certificate, at least 1 year of MA experience in family/OB/GYN, and bilingual English/Spanish. Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care are essential.

Formación

• High School Diploma required; Medical Assistant Certificate from accredited program required.
• 1 year of experience as Medical Assistant in family and OB/GYN services.
• Bilingual English and Spanish required.
• Strong communication skills and ability to multi-task and work with a team.

Responsabilidades

• Meets OB patient to complete intake assessment, incl. food insecurity, DV concerns, family planning needs.
• Tracks PAP smear results, IUD insertions/lot numbers, OB/GYN needs.
• Coordinates free pregnancy testing with patients.
• Performs CLIA Waived testing, EKGs and other tests.
• Schedules appointments including OB/GYN sonograms and recalls.
• Prepares patient for visit with vitals, screenings, and documentation in EMR.
• Reviews medical records for up-to-date immunizations and referrals.
• Assists provider during visit and handoffs to support services.
• Processes diagnostic orders and follows up on results.
• Other related duties as assigned.
