Aubergine Kitchen is seeking a Cook for the night shift in Draper, UT. This full-time role runs 4pm-10pm with weekend work and Sundays closed. You will prepare dinner protein batches, control waste, and maintain high food safety standards while completing closing duties.

English, Spanish, or Portuguese communication is valued. The position requires 21+, restaurant experience, and a company-supported Food Handler Certificate within 14 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to work in a closing-shift environment with pace and accuracy.
• 21+ years old; restaurant or kitchen experience required.
• Food Handler Certificate within 14 days of hire (company-supported).

Responsibilities

• Prepare protein batches for dinner service based on projected sales and par levels; manage leftovers to minimize waste.
• Measure and record food temperatures during cooking, cooling, and reheating per food safety procedures.
• Rotate all items using FIFO; maintain high food quality through closing.
• Ensure all equipment and surfaces are clean, sanitized, and organized by end of shift.
• Communicate with the morning team with clear records of what was prepared and cooled; assist with closing duties.
• Monitor ingredient usage, report shortages, and flag equipment or safety issues to leadership.
