About TBO

This position collaborates with Gray Telemundo Stations nationwide, based in Atlanta, within the Spanish News Bureau located in the same building as Atlanta News First and Telemundo Atlanta.

Job Summary

Gray Telemundo News Bureau in Atlanta seeks a Bilingual News Producer/Anchor to join their award-winning team. The candidate should be dynamic, community-oriented, and capable of producing and presenting news across various markets and platforms.

Responsibilities
  1. Write and produce newscasts for different markets and digital platforms.
  2. Perform line-producing duties for newscasts and shows.
  3. Fill-in as an anchor, write scripts, create elements, and manage story flow.
  4. Gather, shoot, edit, write, and present stories accurately and impartially.
  5. Produce local news packages for all station mediums.
  6. Collaborate with the news team on daily broadcasts and specials.
  7. Utilize social media to grow audience engagement.
  8. Fluent in spoken and written Spanish.
  9. Work effectively under pressure and deadlines, building community contacts.
  10. Maintain journalistic integrity and credibility, pitch and investigate stories, and upload content online.
  11. Produce special projects (e.g., election coverage, legislative specials).
  12. Represent Telemundo at community events as needed.
  13. Participate in station events and promotions.
  14. Ability to go live in the field using Dejero/LiveU is a plus.
  15. Strong shooting and editing skills, with MMJ experience preferred.
Qualifications
  1. B.A. or B.S. in journalism or related field, or equivalent experience.
  2. Experience with news-producing software (ENPS desirable).
  3. Proficiency in editing software (Edius, Premiere Pro, Final Cut).
  4. Native-level Spanish language skills and strong English proficiency.
  5. At least 2 years of experience producing newscasts.
  6. Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
  7. Attention to detail and strong journalistic ethics.
  8. Willingness to travel occasionally (3-5 times/year).
  9. Strong editorial judgment and research skills.
