Responsibilities

• Collaborates with classroom teacher(s) to provide native language support and instructional assistance in all subject areas for newcomer students.
• Serves as a link between the school and family; provides translation and interpretation support for multilingual students and families.
• Works with newcomer students to help them build a positive self-image and pride in their culture.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned including lunchroom/playground duty.
