Job summary

Berwyn North School District 98 seeks a Dual Language Middle School Science teacher to deliver standards-based instruction in English and Spanish. You will plan lessons, monitor student progress, and communicate with families in both languages to support dual language proficiency.

You will foster a positive classroom culture, implement SIOP strategies, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure high expectations and strong student outcomes across content areas.

Qualifications

• ISBE Professional Educator License required.
• Minimum Bachelor's Degree; Master's preferred.
• Middle School endorsement in Science is required.
• Bilingual endorsement in Spanish is required.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in science within a dual language setting.
• Assure students read, write, and speak in both Spanish and English.
• Plan standards-based instruction and monitor progress.
• Maintain a safe, orderly classroom environment.
• Communicate with parents and stakeholders regularly.
• Collaborate with staff to meet district goals.
• Follow district discipline codes and school policies.
• Utilize data to guide instructional decisions.
• Attend field trips and after-school activities as needed.
