Job summary

DePelchin Children's Center in Houston, TX is seeking a Bilingual Mental Health Counselor III to deliver individual, family and group therapy across community settings. This home-based role requires flexible scheduling to meet client needs and travel within the greater Houston area.

You will assess and diagnose, develop treatment plans, coordinate with schools and other professionals, and document client progress while upholding COA standards and trauma-informed care.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice independently in Texas (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT).
• Two years post-graduate experience providing assessments and treatment of children, adolescents, and families.
• Must obtain certifications for all therapeutic interventions within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family and group therapy per diagnostic assessment and individualized treatment plan.
• Coordinate treatment with referral sources, teachers, school counselors and other professionals involved with the client.
• Maintain accurate and timely client records per policies and procedures.
• Meet productivity expectations by maintaining assigned caseload and managing schedule to meet timeliness.
• Provide outreach in the community to assist with program recruitment.
• Provide community mental health presentations and trauma-informed training services as requested.
