WellPower in Denver, CO is seeking a Bilingual Mental Health Therapist II (License Preferred) to provide outpatient therapy across the lifespan. Services include diagnostic assessments, individual/family therapy, crisis intervention, and coordination with case management and psychiatric services.

Clinicians work in a trauma-informed, culturally responsive framework with multilingual capacity in Spanish/English.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or other human services field.
  • Licensed or within 6 months of licensure preferred.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in mental health or human services preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide diagnostic mental health assessments and various forms of psychotherapy (individual, family, play, couples, group) including crisis intervention and case management.
  • Develop treatment plans; monitor progress and follow up as clinically indicated.
  • Support growth with strengths-based, culturally responsive approaches.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to support client growth.
  • Coordinate services across psychiatric, case management, and medical domains.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation per WellPower standards.
  • Participate in team meetings, trainings, and supervision as required.
  • Maintain a trauma-informed environment of wellbeing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary:

The position provides outpatient therapy across the lifespan to children, youth, adults, couples, and families. These services are uniquely tailored to the needs of each individual or family being served. This position provides a wide range of interventions that include (but are not limited to): diagnostic mental health assessments; individual, family, play, couples, and group psychotherapy; connection to case management support and psychiatric services; crisis intervention; coordination and ongoing communication with appropriate collaterals. The individuals and families we work with present with a broad range of bio-psycho-social and mental health needs including trauma, depression, anxiety, attachment, family dynamics, and substance use, among others. This position is also responsible for maintaining compliance with documentation standards for all work performed.

El Centro is a multicultural group of providers and supportive staff who offer Spanish/English bilingual integrated outpatient services across the lifespan, ages 5 years and up. We bring a trauma-informed, strengths-based, relational, and culturally responsive lens to our work with families from Latino/a/x, Hispanic, and Chicano/a/x communities. Common themes we explore are migration and immigration, acculturation, grief and loss, intergenerational trauma, interpersonal violence, navigating systemic and structural barriers, and experiences of environmental stressors.

  • Mental Health Therapist II (Master's Level) - $31.25/hour - $65,000/year
  • LPC/LMFT/LCSW: $34.78/hour - $72,342.40/year
  • LAC Differential - $1.00
  • Language Differential - $1-$2.50/hour for bilingual proficiency in Spanish or ASL

The posted range represents the full hiring range. Offers will not exceed this range, the majority of candidates are placed near the midpoint based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Provide diagnostic mental health assessments as well as individual, family, play, couple, and/or group psychotherapy along with crisis intervention and case management support to assigned individual/ family.
  • Develop treatment plans; monitor treatment progress and follow-up as clinically indicated.
  • Facilitate the individual and/or family’s growth and development with an emphasis on strengths, culture, resiliency, and wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to support the growth and development of those we serve.
  • Facilitate the coordination of services for individuals/ families with supplemental needs in psychiatric, case management, and medical domains.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation consistent with WellPower standards.
  • Participate in team/department meetings, trainings, and supervisory sessions as required.
  • Maintain a trauma informed environment of wellbeing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or other human services field required.
  • Licensed or within 6 months of licensure preferred
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in mental health or human services preferred.

Typical Physical & Mental Demands:

  • Ability to sit, stand, bend and reach, drive, operate standard office equipment such as phone, computer, facsimile, copier/printer, and other business machines. Occasional lifting up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to give, receive and analyze information, formulate work plans, prepare written materials and articulate goals and action plans. Must understand people from different backgrounds and be able to communicate effectively with them.

Working Conditions: 40 hours per week - The team currently works a hybrid schedule with most full-time team members working at least 3 days per week in person. In-person work is based out of WellPower's Dahlia Campus for Health and Wellbeing location, 3401 Eudora St, Denver, CO 80207 and office-based co-locations at community partner sites.
