Job summary

The Institute for Family Health seeks a licensed social worker to provide individual, family, and group counseling within a multidisciplinary care setting in New York. Qualifications

• Provide individual, family, and group counseling, crisis intervention and concrete services.
• Work with physicians and health care personnel to understand psychosocial factors.
• Prepares bio-psychosocial evaluations, mental status exams, histories, treatment plans and reports.
• Conduct short and long term therapy with appropriate plans/goals.
• May supervise social work interns.
• Educate staff on psychosocial issues in patient care.
• Identify child welfare issues and coordinate reporting procedures.
• Document all patient services in medical records and encounter forms.
• Ensure social service compliance with legal/regulatory standards.
• Participate in department meetings and quality assurance.
