The position offers contract terms with potential extension or permanent hire, and requires a 40-hour interpreter training, a competency assessment, and at least 2 years of experience, with preference for CM I/CHI credentials.

Qualifications

• Completion of a medical interpreter competency assessment.
• Completion of a recognized 40-hour Medical Interpreter Training Program.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional medical interpretation experience.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare workflows.
• Excellent verbal communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time video remote interpretation between patients, family members, and healthcare professionals.
• Accurately interpret complex medical terminology, including anatomy, diagnoses, procedures, treatment plans, and medications.
• Facilitate effective communication in clinical and administrative healthcare environments.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and patient privacy regulations.
• Assist with the translation of written healthcare-related documents as needed.
• Serve as a cultural and linguistic resource to support patient-centered care and improved health outcomes.
• Ensure interpretation services are delivered accurately, professionally, and in accordance with industry best practices.
