Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Medical Office Assistant II to support patient care in the Otay Mesa clinic. Under supervision, you will assist with exams, collect vital signs, and manage routine tasks to ensure efficient patient flow and safety.

You will respond to calls, provide member education, and help maintain accurate medical records in a fast-paced clinical setting. Ideal candidates have a certification in Medical Office Assistance and at least six months of related experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Office Assistant program with certification.
• Six months of experience or twelve months experience in lieu of certification.
• Bilingual English/Spanish Level II required.
• Ability to give and follow oral and written instructions.
• Demonstrated knowledge of sterile techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient exams and procedures, including vital signs.
• Respond to member telephone messages and provide education to members and families.
• Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for procedures as directed by physician.
• Transport patients and charts within the clinic or hospital environment.
• Maintain patient records and assist with routine clerical tasks as required.
