Job summary

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a pre-hire skills assessment.
• Excellent oral and written command of both source and target languages with healthcare terminology (ILR Level 4).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Interpersonal verbal and written communication skills for teamwork and independent work.

Responsibilities

• Interpret medical and general information with high accuracy across multiple modes (consecutive, simultaneous, sight translation).
• Serve as cultural mediator and ensure unbiased interpretation with proper context.
• Adhere to ethics, HIPAA, and civil rights regulations.
• Train and mentor interpreters and assist in staff development.
• Collaborate with leaders to assess needs and provide support and education.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure data consistency across platforms.
