Qualifikationen

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program or has relevant Medical Assistant training.
• Open to learning and developing new skills.
• Interested in both clinical and administrative aspects of healthcare.

• Willing to learn surgery scheduling, referrals, authorizations, and medical records.

Aufgaben

• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
• Obtain and document patient histories, medications, vital signs, and other pertinent information.
• Assist the provider with examinations and in-office procedures.
• Schedule surgical procedures and other procedures ordered by the provider.
• Coordinate with surgical facilities, hospitals, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA and practice policies.
• Answer phones and assist with scheduling appointments.
• Assist patients with questions and general needs.
