Job summary

Tru Medical Management is seeking a bilingual Medical Assistant to support a small, patient-centered team in Brooklyn. You will room patients, take vitals, draw blood, and assist providers with in-office procedures within your scope.

You will communicate in English and Spanish, prepare for visits, and ensure accurate charting. The office emphasizes personal connections and growth from MA to Lead MA and Health Coach, with a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Spanish to communicate with diverse patients.
• Completed medical assistant training program.
• 1+ year in an outpatient medical office preferred.
• Experience with an EMR; eClinicalWorks experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, take vitals and enter them in the chart accurately.
• Draw blood, run EKGs and assist providers with in-office procedures within your scope.
• Prepare the provider for each visit: reason for visit, medications, gaps in care.
• Explain next steps to patients in English and Spanish, and confirm they understood.
• Keep rooms stocked and clean, and help the front desk or a teammate when your rooms are empty.

$21 to $24 per hour, based on experience · Full time · Mon to Fri 9 to 5, rotating Saturdays if needed · No nights, no Sundays

What you need

• Fluent Spanish and English (required)
• Completed medical assistant training program
• 1+ year in an outpatient medical office
• Experience with an EMR. eClinicalWorks is a plus, and we train.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred
