Qualifications

• Minimum six months of experience or successful Kaiser externship.
• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant course per the Medical Board of California.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish Level I required.

Responsabilités

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs; records information in the medical record; prepares exam rooms and assists clinician.
• Schedules appointments; performs clinical tasks; may administer medications and injections; processes instruments; data entry; supports customer service in department.
• Anticipates patient needs; responds to alarms and requests; maintains clean, functional work environment; demonstrates teamwork and reliability.
• Manages difficult situations professionally; mentors new staff; participates in departmental development; adheres to attendance policy and labor-management partnership.
• This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
