Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience as Medical Assistant or similar clinical support role.
• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant training program preferred.
• Bilingual language skills preferred; ability to communicate with patients and families in English and another language.
• Strong multi-tasking and accurate work in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to exceptional customer service and compassionate patient care.
• Ability to take initiative and adapt to changing priorities.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with a medical team.
• Basic computer skills and experience with EHR or willingness to learn.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with attention to documentation.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality for full-time hourly schedule.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and standard clinic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greet and room patients, verify identity, and document vital signs and history accurately.
• Prepare exam rooms and ensure they are clean and ready for visits.
• Assist providers with examinations and procedures while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Perform basic tasks such as measuring vitals, point-of-care tests, and specimen collection.
• Coordinate patient check-in/check-out and manage wait times.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist patients in navigating visits.
• Use bilingual skills to communicate with patients with limited English proficiency.
• Document patient information in the EHR and maintain confidentiality.
• Assist with scheduling, referrals, and follow-up care as directed.
• Collaborate with providers and staff to support daily clinic operations.
• Identify and resolve issues affecting patient care or clinic flow promptly.
• Maintain infection control, safety procedures, and HIPAA compliance.
• Participate in training and quality improvement efforts.
