Job summary

MaxHealth is seeking a bilingual Medical Assistant to join our team in Fort Worth, TX. The MA will support providers, perform day-to-day clinical duties, and help maintain a positive and efficient clinic environment.

The role includes nursing care under supervision, charting in EMR, and cross training with other staff. Must be bilingual (English/Spanish) with at least 1 year of MA experience in a physician office.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience working as a Medical Assistant in a physician office.
• Primary care/PCP experience required.
• Knowledge of basic nursing principles and patient safety practices.
• Must be computer literate with working knowledge of electronic medical records and medical terminology.
• Possess strong communication and compassionate patient care skills.
• Bilingual English and Spanish (required).

Responsibilities

• Understands and performs office procedures with appropriate training, including some clinical tasks.
• Assess patient condition, take vitals, and assist with procedures as directed.
• Document all activities and patient information in the electronic medical record.
• Maintain infection control and confidentiality in line with policies.
• Coordinate with COS/Privacy Officer on patient issues and data entry.
• Provide cross-training support and help train new staff when needed.
• Ensure clean, organized exam and procedure rooms and restock supplies.
• Support scheduling, basic billing, and patient communication as needed.
