Townsen Physician Group in Houston, TX is seeking a Bilingual Medical Assistant to support physicians and providers. You will perform administrative tasks and clinical duties, record vitals, document patient histories, and help ensure a smooth patient flow.

The ideal candidate is fluent in English and Spanish, has at least one year in a clinical setting, and holds a Medical Assistant certification (BLS/CPR preferred). This full-time role offers multiple medical plans, vision, and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a medical setting.
• Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients and documents chief complaint, vital signs, medical history, and visit reason.
• Documents patient vitals and maintains updated medical records.
• Communicates status updates and changes in treatment plan.
• Maintains patient charts and ensures form accuracy.
• Notifies patients about delays and appointment progress.
• Provides clerical support: photocopying, scanning, faxing.
• Prepares and stocks exam rooms; cleans between patients.
• Manages emails, calls, and inquiries.
• Handles patient/physician/pharmacy communications and messages.
• Supports team and uses downtime efficiently.
