Job summary

El Rio Health's El Pueblo Health Center in Tucson, AZ seeks a Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care and clinic support under supervision. You will complete the patient intake, document in the EHR, assist providers, and ensure discharge instructions are understood.

Preferred candidates have a Medical Assistant certificate, BLS, Level One fingerprint clearance, and are bilingual (English/Spanish). Schedule: Mon-Fri 10:00–7:00 with alternating Saturdays; pay: $17.57–$24.16 per hour

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Medical Assistant Certificate from an approved program.
• Current BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Level I fingerprint clearance card (or application in process).
• Valid driver's license may be required for some shifts.

Responsibilities

• Complete patient intake steps and document information in the EHR.
• Assist and perform procedures within a Medical Assistant scope.
• Coordinate outside records and lab/radiology results.
• Ensure discharge instructions are understood by patients.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
