The Medical Assistant reports to the Center Administrator and provides routine patient care within his/her level of training, functioning under the guidance of the clinical supervisor and/or physician, in accordance with relevant state statutes.


Primary Responsibilities:
  • Consistently demonstrates commitment to superior customer service, quality, and care in interactions with all internal and external customers.
  • Under supervision of a physician, administers medications, immunizations, EKGs, ear washes, and other patient services. Assists in minor surgical procedures and patient education as directed.
  • Performs venipuncture under the direction of a physician or advanced care practitioner.
  • Contacts patients to communicate testing results, schedule visits, and answer inquiries. Manages laboratory duties including blood draws, processing, and maintaining logs. Acts as liaison with lab services.

Required Qualifications:
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Current, recognized Medical Assistant certification or registration, or ability to obtain within 180 days of employment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, or ability to obtain within 30 days.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or in a related medical setting.
  • Experience with ICD-9/10, CPT coding, Microsoft Office, and proven phlebotomy skills.

Note: For residents of Florida, this position requires an AHCA Level II background check (fingerprinting) with renewal every five years.


The hourly rate ranges from $16.00 to $28.85, based on full-time employment, experience, certifications, and other factors. Benefits include comprehensive packages, incentive programs, stock purchase options, and 401(k).
