Promise Healthcare in Champaign, IL seeks a Medical Assistant to support providers and nurses with patient care, initiate patient flow, and assist with charting in EHR. On-the-job training is offered; bilingual skills are preferred to serve a diverse patient base.

The role includes preparing patients for exams, taking measurements, and assisting with waived labs, while maintaining clean exam rooms and accurate documentation. Training will be provided on-site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of adult and/or pediatric office practice.
• Electronic Health Records experience helpful.
• Must have valid driver's license, insurance, and transportation to other clinics as needed.

Responsabilités

• Prepares patient for examination, takes height, weight, blood pressure and other measurements as applicable.
• Takes initial medical information including medication history.
• Assists in performing waived laboratory tests.
• Makes correct entries in patient charts and checks appointment dates.
• Assists patients to examination rooms, lab and restrooms.
• Restocks and straightens exam rooms.
• Performs quality assurance on glucometers.
• Makes copies and faxes documents as requested.
• Performs other duties as required.
