Job description

Position Details

  • Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week)
  • Location: MNGI Digestive Health (Eagan)
  • Salary Range: Starting at $19.03 - $20.12/hour (varies based on experience & education)
    • Bilingual staff members are eligible for a $1.50/hour premium upon certification.

Key Responsibilities

Front Desk:
  • Greet visitors, verify and update patient info, and handle appointments.
  • Collect co-pays and balances, assist with forms, maintain confidentiality.
  • Enter data into electronic systems, manage schedules, and assist visitors.
  • Maintain lobby cleanliness and cash box.
Clinic:
  • Greet and room patients, obtain medical history, measure vital signs.
  • Stock and clean exam rooms, interpret between provider and patient.
  • Instruct patients, perform phlebotomy or injections, handle specimens.
  • Manage inventory, document in records, obtain additional medical info.
  • Complete pre-calls, perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions: Must perform all essential tasks satisfactorily; reasonable accommodations available.

Education and Experience:

  • Associates Degree + 1 year care experience, or
  • Medical Assistant diploma, LPN, EMT, or CNA with 1-year care experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience with EMR and phlebotomy preferred.
  • Completion of interpreter training and certification required upon hire.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of GI system, medical terminology, compassionate care.
  • Skills in patient care, active listening, problem-solving, prioritization, critical thinking.
  • Abilities in problem-solving, multitasking, attention to detail, teamwork, effective communication, and flexibility in work locations.

Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, sit, reach, stand, talk, hear, use hands, lift up to 50 lbs., and travel as needed.

Working Environment: Clinical setting with potential exposure to chemicals, blood, and body fluids. Use PPE, operate equipment, and travel between locations.
