Job summary

TrueCare is a trusted healthcare provider serving San Diego and Riverside Counties. The Medical Assistant (MA) will perform routine clinical and administrative tasks, including vital signs, preparing exam rooms, EHR documentation, and phlebotomy.

The role requires travel to various clinics to provide coverage with flexible hours. Qualifications include a high school diploma, completion of an MA program, and at least 1 year of MA experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
• Minimum One (1) year Medical Assistant work experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, medical laboratory procedures and healthcare operations and workflow.
• Must drive to other locations daily with CA license, insurance and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to obtain medical information and confirm purpose of visit.
• Copy immunization cards for new children or established patients.
• Prepare treatment rooms; keep rooms stocked, neat and clean.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain logs.
• Take vital signs and assist with examinations and procedures.
• Record medical histories and vital signs in the EHR system.
• Assist staff by handing instruments and medications; injections and sutures.
• Perform lab tests including urine analysis and EKGs.
• Collect samples and prepare them for testing.
• Give injections and immunizations per protocols.
• Change dressings and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Explain procedures, medications, and instructions to patients.
• Discharge patients per protocol and schedule follow-ups.
• Front desk duties including scheduling and phone duties.
• Travel to locations for coverage and flexibility with schedule.
