Job description

Schedule: Monday - Friday.
Hours:
8:00am - 5:00pm with a 60-minute lunch.

Clinic Locations:
  • 90%: 1106 Clayton Lane, Austin TX 78723.
  • Coverage: 1500 W 38th Street, Austin TX 78731.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Chart prepping – preparing for what patients and providers need ahead of time.
  • Rooming and charting/documenting in EMR.
  • Cleaning and stocking room.
  • Answer patient messages within 48-72 hours unless urgent response is needed.
  • Process faxes.
  • Perform and/or collect ancillary tests, e.g. PGX, UTI/STI Panel and Urine Wellness.
  • Obtain patient consent for procedures and immunizations.
  • Administer injectable medication and vaccinations.
  • Assist in the referral process.
  • Assist the Provider with medical procedures.
  • Send e-scribe non-control substance prescriptions on behalf of the Provider.
  • Ensure all patients are informed and scheduled for our advanced wellness program.
  • Answer phone calls.
  • Send medical records for patients.
  • Provide patient notes as necessary.
  • Monitor inner office communication (teams or goto chat)
  • Go to parking lot and swab patients as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • 2 or more years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
  • Vital signs.
  • Rooming patients.
  • Documenting Medical History.
  • E-Clinical Works (Preferred).
  • Prior Auths & Referrals (Preferred).

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Work performed in an office/clinical setting.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk.
