Job summary

Clinica Family Health & Wellness is seeking a Medical Assistant to help the clinic run smoothly and care for patients under the guidance of medical providers.

You will be part of a patient-centered team, bilingual in English and Spanish, with responsibilities including taking vitals, assisting with labs, preparing rooms, and coordinating prior authorizations.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Medical Assistant training with 100+ hours externship.
• Two+ years MA experience in lieu of school.
• Maintain professionalism and empathy when interacting with patients.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with providers to anticipate their needs.
• Open the lab, prepare rooms, print schedule, and huddle with providers.
• Take patients to the treatment room, record vitals and reason for the appointment.
• Perform blood draws and injections.
• Prepare rooms for procedures and manage orders and scheduling.
• Close the pod labs, sterilize rooms and instruments for the next day.
• Serve the community and support patients.

Job Profile:

What You Get to Do:

• You will build relationship with the provider to anticipate their needs to save time.
• You will open the lab for your team, prepare rooms for patients, print out the schedule and huddle with providers in the morning.
• You will take patients to the treatment room, get their vitals and reason for the appointment.
• You will perform blood draws, injections, and other lab tests.
• You will prepare rooms for procedures.
• You will process prior authorizations, medial assistant orders, scheduling patients, lab results, medication refills, and stock patient rooms.
• At the end of the day, you will close the pod labs, sterilize the rooms and instruments, and prepare for the next day.
• You get to serve your community – you are here for the patients, and they are very grateful.

What We Need for this Job:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program with over 100 hours of hands‑on externship experience.
  • Two (2+) years recent experience a Medical Assistant in lieu of school
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and empathy when interacting with patients. Always be respectful.
• Strong communication skills – proactively ask for help, etc.
• Must be reliable and punctual.

Compensation

The posted range represents the full salary range for this position. Starting pay is based on factors such as directly related experience, education, licensure and/or certification, and internal equity.

Certified Medical Assistant: $22.66 - $28.70 per hour

Uncertified/No Diploma Medical Assistant: $22.05 - $27.93 per hour
