Job summary

LCH Health and Community Services is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) to support its clinical team in Kennett Square, PA. This full-time position includes hands-on clinical tasks combined with administrative support to ensure high-quality care

Qualifications

  • Current or eligible MA certification in Pennsylvania.
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • CPR certification required.
  • 2-3 years of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for visits, including vital signs and health history.
  • Assist providers with exams, procedures, and point-of-care testing.
  • Document patient information accurately in the EHR.
  • Provide patient education and assist with care coordination.

About The Role

We’re looking for a Medical Assistant (MA) to support our clinical team in delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. This role combines hands-on clinical responsibilities with administrative support to ensure smooth patient flow and high-quality care.

What You’ll Do
  • Prepare patients for visits, including vital signs and health history
  • Assist providers with exams, procedures, and point-of-care testing
  • Perform tasks such as injections, screenings, ECGs, and specimen handling
  • Document patient information accurately in the EHR
  • Support follow-ups, referrals, and prior authorizations
  • Provide patient education and assist with care coordination
  • Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment
  • Participate in team huddles, meetings, and community outreach
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
Schedule Expectations
  • Full-time position with at least one evening per week
What You Bring
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (CAAHEP or ABHES)
  • Current or eligible MA certification in Pennsylvania
  • CPR certification required
  • 2-3 years of clinical experience preferred
  • Experience in community or public health (preferred)
