Role Summary:

Bilingual Patient Eligibility Specialists work onsite at our hospital client location, interviewing patients to determine program eligibility, analyzing potential reimbursement, and guiding patients through the benefits application process. They collaborate with team members and clients to meet patient and organizational needs.

Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Location: Banner - University Medical Center Phoenix

  • Meet with under-insured or uninsured patients to explore eligibility options
  • Review referrals to determine interview and eligibility appropriateness, initiate application process
  • Interview patients, analyze reimbursement potential, and determine eligibility
  • Introduce services, set expectations, and ensure patient understanding
  • Assist patients with questions and documentation during the application process
  • Identify additional patient needs and refer to appropriate agencies
  • Maintain data accuracy and integrity in systems
  • Act as intermediary between client, team, and hospital staff
  • Provide excellent client service and team collaboration
  • Adhere to information security policies and complete required training

Role Requirements:

  • 2+ years customer service experience
  • Fluent in Spanish (speak, read, write)
  • Ability to work onsite at a hospital facility
