Job summary

Brightpoint invites you to join our team as a Therapist/Counselor in the School-Based Behavioral Health program at Family CARES Center in Chicago, IL. You will provide individual and group therapy to school-aged children and their families, with in-person services at the Chicago site.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology or another related clinical field required.
• Current clinical licensure in the state of Illinois (LCSW, LCPC or LMFT).
• Obtains and maintains any applicable certifications based on program model and/or required by program funder, which may include Domestic Violence training, Trauma-Based Relational Intervention, Play Therapy, or other modalities within one year of employment.
• Demonstrates competence in individual treatment planning and integrating diagnostic results of assessment tools.
• Experience with an evidence-based or evidence-informed treatment modality, such as Theraplay, the ARC framework, or other trauma-informed practice.
• Valid driver's license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services to school-aged children and their families in a school-based setting.
• Coordinate services with other providers and develop referral plans.
• Complete thorough and timely documentation, including assessments and service notes, using the web-based client services platform.
