Job summary

Garfield Public Library is seeking a part-time Library Page to support circulation and patron services. This bilingual role requires fluency in Spanish and English and involves returning materials, organizing items, and assisting at the Circulation Desk.

The position may require some evenings or weekends and includes on-the-job training. 9 hours per week at $15.96 per hour with opportunities to participate in continuing education and library programs.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Spanish and English required.
• Experience in libraries, museums, or similar venues preferred.

Responsibilities

• Return books, materials, and equipment to the correct location in the library.
• Organize library materials for accuracy and convenient access.
• Staff the Circulation Desk as needed and assist patrons with basic inquiries.
• Assist with computers, copiers, and scanners and explain services to patrons.
• Learn to use the library's recording and information systems.
• Complete 2 hours of continuing education annually via webinars or workshops.
• Perform other duties as assigned for an evolving library.
