Job summary

Mundo Verde Bilingual Public Charter School seeks a lead teacher to deliver high-quality instruction in a biliterate, Spanish immersion setting. You will co-plan with teams, implement meaningful expeditions, and uphold inclusive practices.

This 10-month salaried role requires a bachelor’s in education (K-5) and DC licensure or reciprocity, with emphasis on equity, culturally responsive teaching, and family engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education for K-5 positions.
• DC teaching license or reciprocity strongly preferred.
• Experience with inclusive classrooms and diverse student populations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver instruction aligned to grade-level standards.
• Co-plan and co-teach with colleagues across grade levels and network.
• Build classroom culture emphasizing biliteracy, inquiry, and restorative practices.
• Plan and assess using formative and summative methods and RTI/IEP collaboration.
• Engage families with regular updates on student progress.
