Job summary

Bay Area Discovery Museum is seeking a Lead Educator (Bilingual) to join our School and Community Programs team in Sausalito, CA. The role leads playful learning experiences onsite and in schools, with occasional support for exhibits, festivals, and camps.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years working with children ages 0-8, be fluent in Spanish and English, and excel in customer service and collaboration with teachers and families. This is a full-time onsite role with some remote opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working with children ages 0-8 in formal or informal educational settings.
• Experience in education, arts education, early childhood education, museum studies, or relevant field preferred.
• Commitment to Diversity, Equity, Access, and Inclusion; creating welcoming environments for staff and visitors.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite and offsite school and community programs, guiding playful learning and engaging teachers and parents.
• Assist with activation of exhibits and support museum experiences during festivals, camps, and events.
• Develop and deliver special seasonal and year-round programs, including summer camps.
• Facilitate programs in Spanish, including translation of materials and communication.
