Job summary

KCMJ is seeking a Law Clerk to support attorneys in civil matters. You will obtain information from Chinese-speaking clients, identify facts, draft legal documents, and review discovery responses. Strong research skills and proficiency with Westlaw/LexisNexis are required, along with fluency in English and Chinese.

The role requires a US LL.M. degree and about one year of law clerk experience, with work in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Location is Arcadia, CA, with a salary of $70,000 per year.

Qualifications

• US Master of Law (LL.M.) degree required.
• 1 year as a law clerk with experience in research and declarations, briefs, memos, subpoenas.
• Proficient with Westlaw, LexisNexis, Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
• Read, speak and write English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in civil matters and obtain information from Chinese-speaking clients.
• Identify relevant facts and prepare legal documents.
• Review discovery responses for deficiencies.
