Job summary

El Rancho Supermercado is looking for a Kitchen Cook to prepare meals and deliver quality service in a fast-paced setting. You will manage cooking across broilers, ovens, grills, and fryers while upholding safety and sanitation standards.

You will assist with inventory, stocking, product rotation, and ensure accurate labeling. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred to serve diverse customers in our community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Food Handlers Card required.
• Customer service and retail experience desirable.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and other equipment.
• Follow recipe specifications and portion food products according to standards.
• Maintain quality, cleanliness, organization, safety, and sanitation.
• Restock front counter utensils, water, vegetables, and drinks.
• Ensure items are weighed, labeled, dated, packaged and rotated.
• Take food orders in person and by telephone.
