Job summary

Responsive Education Solutions in Houston, TX seeks an elementary teacher to facilitate learning and foster growth in students through rigorous, classical instruction that develops intellectual, emotional, physical, and social capacities.

You will collaborate with parents and colleagues, plan engaging lessons, administer formative and summative assessments, maintain accurate records, provide interventions for struggling students, and participate in professional development and school events.

Qualifications

• Must meet one of the listed Texas teaching certifications or degrees.
• Bachelors degree with passing score on ExCET/TExES or equivalent in grade level/content.
• Bachelors degree in Elementary Education or with 18 credits in core subjects.
• Professional letter of recommendation may support content-area experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lessons using classical traditional methods and motivate students.
• Assign lessons, correct classwork and homework timely.
• Administer formative and summative assessments and report progress to parents.
• Provide academic interventions for struggling students.
• Maintain grades, classroom calendar, and parent communication via school tools.
• Maintain classroom discipline and a conducive learning environment.
• Collaborate with Special Education and 504 staff to ensure accommodations.
