Job summary

Douglas County in Omaha, NE seeks an experienced professional to perform juvenile justice assessments, referrals, and case management for youth and at-risk individuals. You will work with youth, families, counselors, lawyers, and other professionals to connect services and interventions.

Responsibilities include administering screening tools, developing individualized plans, maintaining records, and collaborating across agencies.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice or Human Services.
One year of juvenile justice, mental health, or related field preferred.
One year of MS Office experience required.
Pre-employment criminal record check and conditional drug screen required.
Combined work experience and education may substitute for requirements on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

Perform professional juvenile justice services including assessment, referral and case management.
Collaborate with youth and families to develop individualized plans for rehabilitation and growth.
Establish and maintain relationships with clients, families, professionals and agencies.
Administer screening/assessment instruments and conduct interviews to determine risks and needs.
Complete and maintain records, reports and correspondence related to cases.
Attend required training and participate in ongoing professional development.
Respond to requests for assistance from parents and the community.
Perform other duties as assigned.
