Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of effective verbal and written communication in English and multiple languages; data collection and analysis for program eligibility.
• Ability to compile, organize, and maintain data using general office practices and software.
• Experience or ability to translate, interpret, and explain materials for diverse participants.

Responsibilities

• Interprets and translates oral and written communications between English and a designated second language.
• Provides interpreting services for meetings, interviews, and calls, including one-to-one and group settings.
• Translates educational materials and forms; reviews translations for accuracy and clarity.
• Maintains confidentiality of participants and records per policy and law.
• Supports health department activities and communicates effectively with staff and the public.
