Jobot is seeking a dynamic Permanent Associate Attorney specializing in immigration law to join our Houston team. The successful candidate will handle removal, asylum, and cancellation cases, liaise with EOIR, and provide bilingual services to clients in English and Spanish.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction.
• At least 2 years of immigration law experience with removal, asylum, and cancellation of removal cases.
• Experience handling EOIR and deportation cases.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to providing high-quality legal services.
• Bilingual services for English and Spanish-speaking clients.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in immigration court proceedings, including removal and deportation cases.
• Prepare and file applications for asylum, cancellation of removal, and other forms of relief.
• Conduct comprehensive reviews of client cases to determine the most appropriate legal strategy.
• Advise clients on their legal rights and options.
• Liaise with government agencies and officials, including EOIR, on behalf of clients.
• Draft and file legal documents, such as appeals, motions, and briefs.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in immigration law and policy.
• Provide bilingual legal services to our English and Spanish-speaking clients.
